Please follow the steps below to register for an account:
  1. From the portal homepage, click the Log In / Register button in the top right hand side of the screen.
  2. Click "Sign up now"
  3. Enter your email address and select "Send verification number"
  4. Enter the verification number sent to your email address (you may need to check your junk folder) and click "Verify number"
  5. Enter a password, password confirmation and your first and last name and then click the button to proceed.

You should now have an account and will be able to use these details to login in the future.

Please follow the steps below to sign in to your account:
  1. From the portal homepage, click the Log In / Register button in the top right hand side of the screen.
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. Click sign in

YHN Tenants can use MyPortal to access their YHN Account. This allows Lead or Joint Tenants to view details of their rent account, book a repair or access other important information about their tenancy.

Please follow the steps below to access your YHN MyAccount for the first time.

  1. From the portal homepage, click the Your Homes Newcastle tile.
  2. If you're not logged in to the portal, follow the login/registration steps outlined above.
  3. On the customer options page, select the "I live in a YHN managed property and I'm named on the tenancy" tile.
  4. For us to verify you are who you say you are, we will need you to enter your YHN payment reference number, first initial, last name and date of birth (This information will verify that you are the Lead/Joint tenant, if any of the details are incorrect you will not be able to register).
  5. Once you have entered the details, click "Submit" and if you are successfully verified, you will be taken to the YHN Homepage.
  6. Next time you access MyPortal and click through to YHN MyAccount, you will be able to automatically access your details without providing further verification.

If you have any difficulties registering, please complete this form.

If you have terminated your tenancy, you do not need to do anything within your YHN MyAccount as we will automatically update your details.

Please note, your MyPortal registration will still be active, therefore you will still be able to access details of your historic rent account details, or any other accounts you have with us by clicking the "I'm a Leaseholder, I rent a garage, I am a former tenant" tile from the Customer options page.

Please follow the steps below to reset your account password:
  1. From the portal homepage, click the Log In / Register button in the top right hand side of the screen.
  2. click the "Forgotten your password" button
  3. Enter your email address and select "Send verification number"
  4. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password
  5. Go back to the MyPortal Homepage and login again to access your account.

You can register for a YHN MyAccount if you are a tenant named on the rent account (Joint or Lead) or the Joint/Lead Tenant gives you permission to register on their behalf.

Currently, other household members cannot register for an account.

If you have another type of account with us such as a service charge account (You are a Leaseholder), you rent a garage from us or you are a former tenant, you do not need to verify your details to register for a YHN MyAccount. You will be able to access your accounts by clicking the "I'm a Leaseholder, I rent a garage, I am a former tenant" tile.

If you have an active registration for a YHN MyAccount, you can click the "Repairs" tile on the YHN homepage and follow the process through to book a repair for your property.

You will be required to follow the diagnostics tool to help us identify what the problem is and how urgent it is, and you will then be provided information about what's next, such as booking an appointment slot or further instructions.

You can now view details of your tenancy by accessing Housing Online directly through the YHN MyAccount section of MyPortal.

Please follow the instructions below to get set up.

  1. From the portal homepage, click the Your Homes Newcastle Tile (If you're not currently verified as a Tenant, please follow the instructions to register for a YHN MyAccount).
  2. Click one of the options on the "Manage my Tenancy" tile to go through to housing online.
  3. If this is the first time you have visited the page, you will be required to either login or register to a Housing Online account (Please note that these details may be different to the details you used to sign into MyPortal).
  4. Once you have logged in, we will create a link between your MyPortal account and your Housing Online account, so next time you try to access it through the portal we will know who you are.
